Container
Container hosting for bursty and scheduled work, billed by the second while the container runs and able to sleep between requests.
Overview
Container is the service for work that arrives in bursts: an internal tool a handful of people open, a webhook receiver, a nightly import, or a staging environment nobody uses at the weekend. The container starts when a request arrives, serves it, and goes back to sleep.
You are billed for the seconds the container is running. A container that is asleep does not bill compute.
Features
- Scale to zero, when nothing has asked for the container for a while.
- Billed by the second while it runs, so a job that runs for forty seconds is billed for forty seconds.
- Its own disk that persists across sleeps, restarts and redeploys, billed by the GB-month.
- Git-push deploys, per-branch previews and instant rollback.
- Managed PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB and Redis on the same network.
- Scheduled jobs with their own history. Each run is recorded with its exit status.
- An audited shell into a running container. The session is recorded; its contents are not.
